Transmission of the Display Name
Switching Transmission of the Display Name On/Off
Transmission of the Display Name
Transmission of the display name forces the internally called telephone to display the name
entered in the telephone itself instead of the name entered in the PBX. It makes sense to use
this function in combination with special calling systems such as the GIRA calling system 834
plus, for example. It permits the transmission of text messages (entered as display name)
during an internal call.
Note:
In combination with the alarm device function (see chapter Functions > Alarm
Device), text messages can be sent and signallised accordingly.
For text messages without a simultaneous call, you can send text messages
via SIP (RFC 3428) (see chapter Functions > Text Messages).
Switching Transmission of the Display Name On/Off
If transmission of the display name is switched on, the entered display name will be transmitted
when the subscriber makes an internal call and displayed on the called telephone.
If transmission of the display name is switched off, the subscriber name entered in the PBX will
be displayed on the called telephone when the subscriber makes an internal call. If the phone
number of the subscriber has been entered in the local telephone book of the called telephone,
the subscriber name is suppressed by the telephone book entry.
