Hotel Function
Switching the Print Option On/Off
Note:
Since hotel guests are normally charged higher telephone costs than those
calculated by the network provider, an individual
Billing factor
can be
assigned to each telephone (
Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > Settings
). It
is used for the display of call charges at the system telephone and in the
invoice printout.
Please note that some telephone service providers do not transfer call
charges. If a hotel guest dials up a telephone service provider manually, the
call charges which arise cannot be logged and, thus, not be billed. To restrict
manual provider dial-up by hotel guests, provider area codes should
generally be entered as restricted numbers. These should then be enabled
for each room telephone individually (
Subscriber (scr.) > Properties >
Settings
).
When using standard ISDN telephones as room telephones, it may be
advisable to use an internal S
0
port for one room only (
Subscriber (scr.) >
Phone numbers
). This helps to ensure that a hotel guest will never be able
to make calls charged to another device after changing his MSN at the
telephone (password-protected when using a system telephone).
Call charges are not transferred for Internet accesses. For this reason, the
uncontrolled setup of Internet connections by the hotel guests should be
prevented by not configuring an ISDN PC card for S
0
ports used by room
telephones (
Subscriber (scr.) > Phone numbers
). Please note that a
subscriber configured as
ISDN PC card
also accepts devices which transfer
no MSN or another MSN in order to be able to operate cards which do not
transfer MSNs.
The exchange line authorisation for room telephones is controlled via check-
in/check-out over the reception telephone. Exchange line authorisations
configured under
Subscriber (scr.) > Properties > Exchange line settings
are invalid.
The room telephones should not be assigned to any group or be removed
from them.
Switching the Print Option On/Off
If the print option is switched on, the telephone bill for the hotel function can be directly output
to a printer.
