This section describes the preparations required before commis-
sioning the device.
Wall-Mounting the IP DECT Server
The IP DECT server is designed to be mounted on the wall of a
closed, dry room.
Requirements

Connections close to the mounting location:

Network socket with PoE power supply
Warning:
Liquid that penetrates the casing can cause
life-threatening electric shocks and can damage or
destroy the device.

Only operate the device in closed, dry rooms.
Caution:
Overheating can damage or even destroy the
device.

Note the values given for ambient temperature and humidity
in the technical data.

Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
씮
Ensure that heat produced by the device can be adequately
vented into the environment. Do not install the system in a
cabinet without adequate air circulation.
Caution:
Mechanical stress and can result in the dam-
age or destruction of the device or impairment of its func-
tions.

Avoid mechanical loads (e.g. vibrations).
씮
Protect the device against dirt, excessive dust, condensation,
caustic liquids, and steam.

Mark holes on the wall where you intend to mount the device.
Important:
Make sure there are no electrical leads, or gas or
water pipes, in the area in which you want to drill the holes.

Drill the holes (diameter 6 mm) and insert the dowels into
them.
