SMS - SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE
Using the SMS menu, you can create, send, receive, and save your text messages.

IMPORTANT! To enable the SMS feature, you must subscribe to the SMS service supplier and set
the service center numbers in your phone before using it.
You can access to the SMS menu only when the handset is inside the radio coverage of the base.
Setting Service Center Number
To enable the SMS feature you should ask your service supplier the service center numbers and
store it in your phone as follows:

Please note that Service Ctr1 is for messages being sent and Service Ctr2 is for messages being
received.
You can also add a pause by pressing the down navigation key. In this case P will be shown on
the display.
Operation with a PBX: If necessary please add a preceding exchange line access number (e.g. „0“)
to the service number.
Setting Terminal Number (Sub Address)
When more than one handset is registered to one base, setting the terminal number (sub address)
on each handset is required. It allows the message sender to specify the handset which will receive
the message by entering the addressee's terminal number.
You can set each terminal number with a number from 0 to 9 with the following steps (0 is the default
value).
Press the SMS key to display the SMS menu
items. Or, press the MENU soft key to display
the main menu items, then select 1.SMS by
pressing the SELECT soft key.

Press repeatedly the navigation keys to
choose 6.SMS Settings, then press the
SELECT soft key.

Press repeatedly the navigation keys to
choose 1.Service Ctr1 or 2.Service Ctr2, then
press the SELECT soft key.

Enter the service number using the numeric
keys. You can enter up to 24 digits.
Press the OK soft key to save the setting.
To return to Standby mode, press the end/on/
off key.
