Local Answering Machine
This section describes how to forward a caller to the answering machine an
how to take over an active call from the answering machine. Furthermore,
you can adjust the local answering machine to your needs. To that belongs
the settings for call acceptance rules, the recording, the remote access and
the e-mail settings.
The call recording function conversations calls to be recorded, for example,
for later evaluation. In addition to the automatic recording of all calls, it is
also possible to record calls manually. This operates independently of the
automatic call recording function. This allows calls to be recorded in pieces.
Call recordings can be played from the answering machine list.
Note:
The data storage device must be inserted before you can record
a call (not necessary for Comfortel 3600 IP (see chapter Important Infor-
mation > Product Details)).
Remote access is used to access and operate the answering machine from
another internal telephone or from an external telephone.
