– Clean contact surface of condenser -D-.
– Replace seals -B- and O-ring seals -C-. Version, refer to Elec‐
tronic Parts Catalog.
– Place fluid reservoir -A- on condenser and tighten bolts.
– Install front bumper cover. Refer to⇒ Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.
63 ; Removal and Installation .
– Discharge and fill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to ⇒ Refrigerant
R134a Servicing; Rep. Gr. 00 ; Description and Operation (A/
C Service Station).
– Install remaining components.
– Operate the A/C system after filling the refrigerant circuit. Re‐
fer to

5.18.12 Refrigerant Lines, Disconnecting and
Connecting from Condenser
Note

Different versions of the condenser are available depending
on the vehicle version. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ET‐
KA).

5 cylinder vehicles have a condenser -A- that has an additional
double pipe -C- bolted on to the condenser -A-. The double
pipe -C- is supplied with the condenser. Refer to the Electronic
Parts Catalog. If it necessary to loosen the double pipe -C-
from the condenser -A- use the same tightening specification
for the screws on the connections as for the screws on the
refrigerant lines -D- and -E-.
Removing
– Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to ⇒ Refrigerant R134a
Servicing; Rep. Gr. 00 ; Description and Operation (A/C Serv‐
ice Station).
– Remove center noise insulation. Refer to ⇒ Body Exterior;
Rep. Gr. 50 ; Removal and Installation .
