4.1.2 Plug-in Application Module Commands
The plug-in application module commands are grouped into two types, commands that are common to all types of plug-in
modules and those that are module type specific. The modification of an attribute may take longer than the IPC wait time, in
such case; you would see “Request Sent” as response. In any case, the response from the modification command does not
guarantee the attribute has been successfully altered. You should retrieve the reading from module to confirm the value (i.e.
issue the status command, etc.).
4.1.3 Common Plug-in Module Information
The common plug-in module information is displayed when a user requests “status” or “alarm” on any slot number.
Status :

The commands in this section are CCTX specific.
Philosophy of a module occupying multiple slots
A multiple-slot-wide module physically consumes two slots in the ChromaFlex chassis. The module name is displayed as it
occupies two slots, but it communicates via the lowest slot number. The lowest number slot is defined as the “Physical Slot”
and the upper adjacent slot is defined as the “Virtual Slot”. All User Interfaces (CLI, SNMP etc.) are displayed on a Physical
slot basis only.
