Front Panel Description
1.
Input 5 & 6 Mic / Line Input
- To select between microphone and balanced line input refer to the
Input Switch setting section. For connecting an unbalanced signal to the line input, the (-) pin
needs to be connected to the Ground (G) pin.
2.
Input 5 & 6 Level Control
- Rotate clockwise (+) to increase level.
3.
Input 5 & 6 Signal / Clip LED
- Will illuminate Green when signal is present and Red when an
excessive input signal is present. An occasional Red blink is ok, but if the LED is RED constantly
the source signal needs to be reduced.
Note
: The signal and clip LEDs are PRE the input
level controls, meaning the LEDs will illuminate even if the input level control is turned down or (-).
4.
Input 5 & 6 Limiter Threshold Control
- These controls adjust the maximum signal level allowed
to reach the amplifier channel. This control adjusts where the limiter threshold starts to
reduce the output level. Rotate clockwise (+) to make the limiter reduce the output levels. Rotate
counterclockwise to reduce the sensitivity, thus letting larger signal “Peaks” through to the
output. See also “Limiter LED” for more information.
5.
Input 5 & 6 Limiter LED
- Adjustment of the Limiter feature should be done after the input gain
or level has been properly set. The limiter when set correctly will limit the amount of level to the
amplifier even under extreme signal peaks. Adjust the limiter control so the limiter LED just begins
to flash Yellow during maximum levels. When illuminated the LED indicates where the thresold of
signal reduction begins.
