is intended for professional use and should only be used by specialists or by a qualified
expert.
Because of the Chemical-Climate-Protection-Ordination of 2010 working on an air condition of motor vehicles may
be done only by persons, which are in possession of a certificate of competence. The minimum requirements for the
competence training are described in Regulation (EC) no. 307/2008.
In this context it should be noted that the competence requirements of the Federal Ministry for the Environment,
Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety also apply to motor vehicle air-conditioning systems in commercial
vehicles, although the Regulatory Area of Regulation (EC) no. 307/2008 only on passenger cars and light
commercial vehicles is limited. In activities related to the recovery of refrigerants from motor vehicle air-conditioning
systems for automotive interior air-conditioning (passenger compartment and cab) in trucks, buses, construction
equipment and other commercial vehicles, a proof of competence on the basis of the requirements of Regulation
(EC) No. 307/2008 is required.
