Before you start an upgrade, make sure you have the proper tools
ready:

#1 Phillips screwdriver
Dip IC removal tool (chip puller)
an antistatic grounded wrist strap
an antistatic grounded work mat
CAUTION:
Electronic equipment can be damaged by electrostatic
discharge. Do not touch any electronic component unless
you are properly grounded. Grounding can be established
by placing the equipment on a properly grounded work mat
and by wearing a properly grounded wrist strap. The wrist
strap must have intimate contact with the bare skin and
must never be worn over clothing. Do not work on
equipment unless you are familiar with the necessary
procedures for preventing damage caused by electrostatic
discharge.
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the unit, unplug the power cord from
the AC outlet and turn off the battery before removing the
cover of the unit.
