Unwinding Labels
The unwinder automatically unwinds media into the printer for printing. This allows for larger
diameter rolls to be used as an alternative to the standard roll holder.
Note: Do not turn the unwinder mandrel by hand to unwind the media. Turning the mandrel by
hand can result in unwinder damage.
1.
Ensure the power switch [3] on the unwinder is in the off position.
2.
Turn the unwinder mandrel adjustment knob [4] counterclockwise to loosen the mandrel.
3.
Remove the outer flange [2] from the mandrel.
4.
Orient a roll of label media and seat it on the mandrel. The media should unwind over the
top of the roll toward the printer. Ensure the side of the roll contacts the inner flange [1].
5.
Reinstall the outer flange [2] and then turn the mandrel adjustment knob [4] clockwise to
tighten the mandrel.
