Securing the Machine
Preventing unauthorized use of the machine protects it
against accidental damage and theft and reduces the risk
of injury to untrained people.
To lock up and secure the machine:
1.
Lock out the battery power:
a.
Turn off the battery disconnect switch, remove
and store the key.
b.
Turn off the control power disconnect switch.
c.
Install a locking device on each disconnect
switch.
2.
Put away the remote transmitter:
a.
Check the batteries and replace them if needed.
b.
Press
OFF
&
STOP
.
c.
Store the remote transmitter in a clean, dry
place.
3.
Push in the
EMERGENCY
STOP
buttons as an added
safeguard against accidental start-up.
4.
Close and lock the vandal guard over the control
panel.
5.
Close and lock any machine cabinet or access door.
6.
Check for smoldering hot spots in the material dis-
charge and debris piles.
7.
Account for everyone at the work site, making sure
they are clear and safe before you leave the area.
