PLED (System Power LED):

Connect to the power status indicator on the chassis front panel.
The LED is on when the system is operating. The LED keeps
blinking when the sys-tem is in S3 sleep state. The LED is off
when the system is in powered off (S5).

HDLED (Hard Drive Activity LED):

Connect to the hard drive activity LED on the chassis front panel.
The LED is on when the hard drive is reading or writing data.

The front panel design may differ by chassis. A front panel module
mainly consists of power switch, reset switch, power LED, hard
drive activity LED and etc. When connecting your chassis front
panel module to this header, make sure the wire assignments and
the pin assignments are matched correctly.

Auxiliary Panel Header

(18-pin AUX_PANEL1)
(see p.13 or 15,  No. 14)

This header supports mul-
tiple functions on the front
panel, including front panel
SMB, internet status indica-
tor.

A. Front panel SMBus connecting pin (6-pin FPSMB)

This header allows you to connect SMBus (System Management
Bus) equipment.  It can be used for communication between
peripheral equipment in the system, which has slower
transmission rates, and power management equipment.

B. Internet status indicator (2-pin LAN1_LED, LAN2_LED)

These two 2-pin headers allow you to use the Gigabit internet
indicator cable to connect to the LAN status indicator. When this
indicator flickers, it means that the internet is properly connected.

C. Locator LED (6-pin LOCATOR)

This header is for the locator switch and LED on the front panel.
