Advanced Setup (Configuration Tab)
NOTE: By default, and for convenience, the administrator
profile of the embedded FTP server is the same as that of the
Web Server. It is your responsibility to decide on whether
these two profiles should remain the same or not.
Don’t forget to click on the
Configure
button after setting this
first set of parameters.
Managing the list of users:
Memory location
Choose the memory attached to the embedded
FTP server. This can be the receiver internal
memory or a device connected to the receiver
via the USB port (USB key or mass storage
media).

FTP path
Enter the path giving access to the directory
users will be authorized to download data from.

Administrator
username
Keep or change the embedded FTP administra-
tor username.

password
Keep or change the embedded FTP administra-
tor password.

(Show characters)
Use this option to show or hide the above pass-
word. When hidden, the password is replaced
with “*” characters.

Add/Modify button
To add a new user, enter her/his name and
password in the corresponding fields and
then click on the Add /Modify button.
To modify the password of a user, first
select this user from the users list (causing
her/his name and password to appear in
the Username and Password fields),
change the password and then click on the
Add/Modify button.

Delete button
To delete a user, first select it from the
users list (causing her/his name and pass-
word to appear in the Username and Pass-
word fields) and then click on the Delete
button. The user disappears from the users
list.
