8.2.2 Third-Party CTI

Third-party CTI is a multi-user solution. Unlike first-party CTI, where each PC is
connected directly to a telephone, third-party CTI requires only a single connec-
tion between the PBX and the telephony server.

Third-party CTI via the AD2 interface

The only requirement is that the Clients are connected with the telephony server
via a LAN. TAPI 2.1 or higher has to be installed on the telephony server and on
the Client PC.

Version 5.1T of the TAPI TSP driver supports third-party CTI. It has to be enabled
through licensing (Ascotel). The features of the third-party CTI correspond to
those of first-party CTI plus ACD (Automatic Call Distribution).
