Transmission
The transmission is maintenance-free and
filled with oil that is supposed to last the entire
service life of the device. Make sure that there
are no leaks or damages.
Checking the drive
1. Put the device on a non-slip surface (e.g.
concrete or asphalt).
2. Switch off the engine.
3. Actuate the drive.
4. Try to pull the device backwards.
If the rear wheels lock, the drive is correctly ad-
justed. If you can pull the device, the drive
must be re-adjusted.

Re-adjusting the drive
Turn the adjusting screw (
1
) at the drive so that
the wheels lock, while the drive is actuated,
when the device is pulled. If there is no im-
provement after the adjustment, have the
device checked by an authorised service
centre.
Checking the parking brake
AS 63 2T ES, AS 63 4T B&S, AS 63 4T Honda
Warning
If the parking brake is incorrectly adjusted,
the device can roll away.
► Make sure that the parking brake is al-
ways functioning properly.
1. Place the device on a surface with a good
grip (e.g. concrete or asphalt).
2. Release the drive lever and the brake
lever.

Parking brake is actuated.
3. Try to pull the device backwards.
If the rear wheels lock up, the parking brake is
set correctly. If the device can be pushed, the
parking brake must be readjusted by an au-
thorised service centre.
Grease lubrication
The cutting height setting at the front axle is
shown by a lubricating nipple.
1. Clean the lubricating nipple.
2. Lubricate the lubricating nipple with a
grease gun (1-2 strokes).
3. Remove excess grease that has been
pressed out of the bearing points.
