Visualiser:
This contains a graphic representation of the selected waveform.
Above the waveform are 2 arrows which allow you to step through the
waveforms of the selected bank and the name of the waveform is also displayed
here. Clicking on the name also brings up the Waveform Browser. Oscillator 2
has a couple of extra options in the visualiser. There is a sync button that hard
syncs Osc2 to Osc1. There is also an AM (mod param) amplitude modulation
setting. This can add tremelo type effects to the output of the oscillator and this
parameter also has 2 modulation inputs.
•
DCA Level (mod param):
Each DCO also has an output level. You can overdrive
the filter using this control too. This parameter also has 2 modulation inputs.
5.3. Voice Section
Underneath the Oscillators is the Voice Section. It has the following controls.
•
Mono:
Pressing this puts the voice into monophonic mode. This only plays one
note at a time but if Unison is also selected you can play monophonic melodies
with stacked unison voices. You select the amount of unison voices on the lower
toolbar.
♪
: If you play legato lines the envelopes and LFO's will not retrigger.
•
Reassign:
When this is set to ON, if the same key is played again it will be
assigned the same Voice that was previously playing it. That Voice will be 'stolen'
to play the new note. When OFF: If a key is replayed before the note has died
away, a new Voice will be assigned to it, and the first Voice will continue to play.
If there are already two Voices playing that note, the older of the two is stolen.
•
Unison:
Pressing this activates Unison mode and the amount of unison voices
is shown on the lower toolbar. Just to the right of the button you can select the
percentage of detune.
•
Reset Osc:
When a voice stops playing, the phase of the oscillator halts in its
current position. When Reset Osc is on, the phase is reset when playing a new
note. When off, it will continue on from its halted position.
•
Reset Env:
When On, the envelope start its attack from the initial point level
(in most case 0 except for the MSEG where it can be tweaked). When Off, the
envelope starts from the last level it had (example: in reassign on, you set a long
release, long attack, press a key wait for the env to reach its maximum level,
release it and press it again. You will hear that on the second press the attack
starts from the current release level).
•
Glide (mod param):
Glide lets you play a note and when you play a 2nd note the
pitch will "Glide" up or down from the first note to the 2nd note. The time taken is
determined by the setting of this control. The higher the value the longer it takes.
This parameter also has 2 modulation inputs.
