2.0 System Installation

2.1 Installation
2.1.1 Typical System Installation
NOTE: See Typical Interconnect Diagram,
Figure .
NOTE: Synergy ID and the accompanying
Synergy Laser Light Source may be installed
in a tower or on an equipment boom. Both
devices should be installed on a flat working
surface.
NOTE: Please refer to the DFU for the
Synergy ID system for complete installation
instructions of the Synergy ID system.
1. Place Synergy
ID
Camera Control Unit (CCU)
on tower shelf or installed on equipment
boom.
2. Plug the AC power cord into the Synergy
ID
power inlet module and a standard
grounded AC Mains outlet (100-240 V˜, 50-
60Hz).
3. Place Synergy Laser Light Source on tower
shelf or installed on equipment boom.
4. Connect the DC cable of the Synergy Laser
Light Source power adapter to the power
input port on the back of the Synergy Laser
Light Source. Plug the supplied AC power
cord into the power adapter and then plug
the AC power cord into a standard grounded
AC Mains outlet (100-240 V˜, 50-60Hz).
Illumination of the green power LED on the
front of the Synergy Laser Light Source
indicates that the unit is receiving power
from the power supply.
5. Connect the control cable provided with the
Synergy Laser Light Source to the rear of
control cable port on the rear of the Synergy
Laser Light Source. The DVI end of the
control cable should be connected to the
Laser Input connector on the rear of the
Synergy
ID
console.
