The FTM is connected when the assembly is firmly seated in the upper
backplane connector and the hot swap handle moves to the closed position.
2. Hand tighten both chassis retention screws at the same time to secure the FTM.
3. Hand tool tighten both chassis retention screws, alternating back and forth until hand
tight. The recommended torque settings is 0.56 N-m.
When the blue LED turns off, the fan is operating.

Replacing the Fan Filter
Your replacement fan filter consists of a filter media for the lower fan tray module. The fan filter
housing is kept in place by two tabs located on the inner left-side in front of the stationary
metal frame.
Air filters should be checked occasionally to make sure they are not obstructed or
damaged
Visually inspect filters for tears or rips
Do not reinstall a torn filter as it will be ineffective in trapping particulates and will
interrupt air flow distribution
To maintain safety certification, use only Artesyn approved fan filters
You can order replacement fan filters (part number RAF1620) by contacting your Artesyn sales
representative. For detailed information on filter maintenance and cleaning, see
