2.3.1 PCIE-7207 Card Installation
To install the PCIE-7207 card, perform the following steps:
1. Use antistatic pads and attach an ESD strap to your wrist. Attach the other end of the ESD
strap to an electrical ground (For more details, refer to the section Unpacking and
Inspecting PCIE-7207 Card on page 31 ).
2. Identify the system in which the PCIE-7207 card is to be installed.
3. Remove the system cover and ensure whether the host system has the required PCIe slot
(with a minimum x4 PCIe connector) to hold the card and a 2x3 ATX power connector
available for each of the PCIE-7207 cards installed.
4. Insert the PCIE-7207 card into the PCIe slot, secure it, and ensure that the card is properly
fitted in the PCIe slot.
5. Connect the 12V ATX 2x3 power connector to the rear side of the board.
6. Lock the slot ejectors, close the system cover and then switch on the system.
For detailed information about the PCIe card installation, refer to the respective rack-
mount server manufacturer’s product documentation.
Make sure the 12V 2x3 ATX plug can provide 120 W power.
Make sure that the card has enough air flow after closing the system with the cover.
Refer to respective rack-mount server manual for setting the fan speed accordingly.
