SSF and ViewCheck
This section helps you to understand how to add SSF MCP Agent Client and ViewCheck
packages to an existing PCIE-7207 OS (initramfs).
A script
updatePCIe-7207-OS.sh
is provided as a reference implementation on how to
add SSF MCP Agent Client and ViewCheck packages to a PCIE-7207 OS image. This script is part
of standard SSF release.
A.1 Update PCIE-7207 OS with SSF MCP Agent Client
and ViewCheck
To add packages to the PCIE-7207 OS, perform the following steps:
1. Obtain the PCIE-7207 OS using the SWORDS download server available from the Artesyn
Customer Resource Center Website ( http://crcportal.artesyn.com ).
2. Copy the PCIE-7207 OS to a Linux host system.
3. Copy SSF MCP Agent Client, ViewCheck packages and dependent RPMs to the same
location on the Linux host system.
4. Copy
updatePCIe-7207-OS.sh
script to the Linux host system.
5. Log in to the Linux host system as
root
6. Run
updatePCIe-7207-OS.sh
to generate the modified PCIE-7207 OS image.
sh updatePCIe-7207-OS.sh -h
Usage: sh diagInstall.sh -i <source-ramdisk-image> -r <rpm-
location> -t <temporary-location>
-i <source-ramdisk-image>: path of the original ramdisk image
which needs to be modified
This script will not work for any packages other than SSF MCP Agent Client and
ViewCheck.
