CHP MAX TRAP INFORMATION
CHP Trap Information
CHP Max parameters can be monitored by accessing MIB objects via the SMM module's
SNMP Agent. The proprietary ARRIS MIB files are on the released CHP System CD or can be
downloaded from the ARRIS support web site. The MIB type indicates if the attribute is ARRIS
proprietary (ENTERPRISE) or if the attribute is contained in one of the standard IETF or
standard SCTE HMS MIBs supported by the CHP Max. The list of monitorable objects sent as
traps from the SNMP agent to the configured network management platform are detailed in
the following pages.
heCommonLogIndex - An index that uniquely identifies an entry in the log table. Indexes are
assigned beginning with 1 and increased by one with each new log entry up to 65535. The
next entry after 65535 is one. The agent may choose to delete the oldest instances of
heCommonLogEntry as required because of lack of memory. It is an implementation-specific
matter as to when this deletion may occur.
heCommonLogOID - (See OID Values below)
heCommonLogValue - (-2147483648...2147483647) This is the value of the object at the time
it changed alarm state. The alarm values that will cause each trap/alarm are configured in
the Property Table and the Discrete Property Table.
heCommonLogState - heCommonNominal(1), heCommonHIHI(2), heCommonHI(3),
heCommonLO(4), heCommonLOLO(5), heCommonDiscreteMajor(6),
heCommonDiscreteMinor(7)
heCommonLogTime - This is the time when the alarm change for the object occurred.
heCommonLogText - This is a text field describing the alarm. This field could be a zero length
string in certain agent implementations.
The following three objects are proprietary attributes that are not part of the SCTE HMS
specification.
heCommonLogModuleIdOID - This is the module ID OID as found in the Entity table of the
object that has changed alarm state.
heCommonLogCardType - This is a card type as described in the Entity table.
Note
The wrap-around for the heCommonLogIndex variable MUST occur after
65535 regardless of the implementation specific size of the heCommonLogTable.
