3 MAINTENANCE
3.1 General guidelines
Maintenance should be performed to ensure reliable operation and constant
availability of TOP-HS-IP2.
The maintenance entities are:
− TOP-HS-IP2;
− the condition and connection of cables connected to the product.
Maintenance shall be performed by personnel in charge of maintaining
TOP-HS-IP2.
Maintenance shall be performed once a year without switching off power.
3.2 Safety precautions
No special safety measures specified by local codes and regulations on electrical
safety are required.
3.3 Maintenance procedure
Maintenance includes the following activities:
− visual inspection of TOP-HS-IP2 enclosure for mechanical damage (cracks,
dents, etc.) on the handset and base stand;
− visual inspection of cables connected to TOP-HS-IP2 (they must not be
squeezed and the outer sheath should not be damaged);
− checking reliability of cable connection to TOP-HS-IP2 – cables should not be
tensioned;
− removal of dust and dirt from the surface of the product. Depending on the
level of dirt, the surface of the product can be cleaned using a wet sponge
soaked with a mild soap solution, or modern chemicals for cleaning and
protecting equipment at facilities with corrosive gases and chemical vapors;
− checking reliability of mounting to the TOP-DIS-IP2 / TOP-PAD-IP2 when
mounted on a wall;
− checking operability of TOP-HS-IP2 according to 3.4 .
Maintenance should be approximately 15 minutes.
All actions carried out on the product, defects found and negative findings of the
maintenance shall be recorded in the special logbooks.
