2.4 INSTALLATION, CONNECTION AND DISMANTLING
2.4.1 The main placement position of DTS -TOP is desktop. On request, the delivery
set includes a kit for mounting DTS-TOP on the wall, which consists of two brackets and a
mounting plate made of aluminum, as well as a set of fasteners. The layout of the structure
and the method of installing DTS-TOP on the wall is given in Appendix B.
2.4.2 When placing the DTS-TOP on a desktop, a stand can be attached to the bottom
of the housing for better visibility of the keys and display (see 1.1.5.2). In case of using the
EC-TOP expansion block, to give the structure additional rigidity, the EC-TOR block can be
additionally attached to the DTS-TOP with aluminum connecting strips from the EC-TOR
delivery set. The dimensions of the bars and the method of fastening are given in Appendix
B.
2.4.3 The markup and recommendations for the mortise method of installing DTS-TOP
are given in
Appendix D
.
2.4.4 Before connecting the communication cables, remove the required plugs from
the slots in the base of the case, using the instructions on the plate with the designation of
the connectors for external connections, shown in Figure 4. DTS-TOP is connected to the
DCN-2 switch through the DCN-16U switch via the Uko interface. Connection at the
installation site is carried out by means of a multicore communication cable from the delivery
set, crimped with RJ-45 plugs, one of which is connected to an RJ-45 socket, brought out to
the base of the case. On the other hand, the interface cable is connected to the mains socket
of the Uko interface. If necessary, an external headset is connected to the RJ-11 connector.
The pin numbering and pinout of the connectors are given in Appendix A.
The cables connected to the DTS-TOP are laid in the grooves of the base of the case
and the stand in accordance with 1.1.5.4 and Figure 5.
The EC-TOP expansion unit is connected to the DTS-TOP via an RJ-12 connector. The
numbering of contacts and the pinout of the connector are given in the instruction manual
for the EC-TOP.
After the installation is completed and the cables are connected, fix the supplied
microphone on the DTS-TOP front panel by inserting it into the three-pin connector, aligning
the protrusion in the connector plug with the groove in the socket, and tighten the union
nut on the microphone stand until it stops. If necessary, place a windscreen over the
microphone.
In the passport, make notes about the place and time of installation of DTS-TOP.
2.4.5 DTS-TOP is dismantled in the following order:
