2.5 Operation
2.5.1 Turning on
The configuration procedure for DIS-TOP is similar to the configuration procedure
for DIS desktop call station and is described in the document "DCN Communication System.
User Manual. Part 2. Administrator Manual” RMLT.465275.002.
After connecting to DCN-2 exchange, the DIS-TOP is automatically initialized. The
initialization process takes from 30 seconds to three minutes.
Before DIS-TOP start-up, data with initial settings are transmitted to it. Data
transfer is fulfilled under control of DCN-2 software within the initialization cycle via the
interface. Initialization data involve the assignment of keys and the initial settings.
When the initialization is complete, DIS-TOP goes into standby mode and the
following message is displayed as illustrated at Figure 10. The upper line of the display
always contains Armtel logo and the inscription DIS-TOP.

If connection via Ukо interface with the central exchange is missing, the following
message will be displayed (see Figure 11).
