A setting can be selected only when the user returns to the permitted range
and the 'OK' button is displayed again.
Note In the first 60 seconds after a change of the flow value in the
therapy mode, all patient alarms and FiO
2
alarms are
deactivated. Please refer to chapter 6.1 Alarms for details.
5.6 Patient menu
The alarm volume and the limits for all patient alarms can be adjusted from
the patient menu.
Warning
The alarm limits must be set in accordance with the
patient condition before the therapy is started.
5.6.1 Alarm volume
A menu is provided for setting the alarm volume. Press the Menu
key in the standby mode or therapy mode to display the menu.
Press 'Volume' to enter the setting mode. The label appears in reverse
video now, which means that the volume parameter can be adjusted. Set
the desired volume for the AquaVENT
®
FD140 audio signals by pressing the
+ and - fields. Each key press produces a tone at the selected volume level
for one second. The default setting is '100%'. Press the Menu key to save
the selected volume level. The standby or therapy screen is displayed
again.
Warning
The audio alarm can be switched off. In the event of an
alarm, the device will not emit an audio signal. Only the
screen display changes its background colour.
