Connect the original power cord to the power input on the back of the
device. The power cord is protected against accidental disconnection. This
retainer closes automatically when the cord is plugged into the power input.
To remove the power cord, first press on the red lock of the power cord and
then, holding the lock depressed, remove the plug.
Note
Only use the original power cord.
Once the power cord has been plugged into the wall outlet, the power
indicator illuminates green. After the ON/OFF key is pressed, the
AquaVENT
®
FD140 runs an automatic system test.
4.2.2 Rechargeable battery
The device is equipped with an internal battery which, when fully charged,
provides power for a minimum operating time of 60 minutes. When
disconnected from the mains or in the event of a mains power failure, the
AquaVENT
®
FD140 automatically switches to battery power without
disrupting operation.
The integrity and capacity of the battery are monitored by the AquaVENT
®
FD140 and are integrated in the alarm management system. Please refer to
chapter 6 Alarms and messages for details.
As part of the system test at power-up and throughout operation, the battery
is checked for proper functioning to ensure safe, uninterrupted application.
The battery capacity is indicated in two ways: by the three-level battery
symbol and by the operating time, which is shown in the display during
battery power operation or battery charging. When the battery is fully
