2.3.5 Sample preparation
Prepare samples according to the following steps, referring to “2.2.2. Precautions for handling samples” on page 2-4.
1 Preparing samples

Prepare the samples in their collection cups.
2 Stirring the sample
a
Stir each sample well in its collection cup.
Wear protective gloves to prevent exposure to pathogenic microorganisms.
Prepare sufficient sample.
Pad area
IMPORTANT:
Prepare a sufficient volume of samples so that the entire
test strip pad area can be dipped in a single movement.
IMPORTANT:
Do not centrifuge samples.
Centrifugal force may cause undesirable sedimentation of
blood cells and/or other sample contents, thus causing
several measurement items to have incorrect results.
