Dialing numbers
1.
Dial a number on the keypad and lifting the handset, or press the speakerphone button
and dial.
1.1.
In either case, the call will be established within 3 seconds of a valid phone number,
or by pressing the # key in the cases where the phone is configured as a SIP account.
1.2.
While in a call, the Mute (2) and Hold (3) buttons may be pressed to toggle the
functions, to mute or unmute the microphone, or place the call on hold and retrieve
it again.
On the dialing screen, the Menu button can be used to select the type of call, if one other than
the default is required. For example, if the default is a VoIP account (landline) number and
there is a SIM card in the Genius X2, it can be changed on a call to call basis so that the SIM
card (and therefore a mobile number) is presented to the call recipient. This may also be an
advantage with costs to other mobile phones, or international calls by choosing the account
with the least cost associated with it.
The following methods are based on the type/status of the call. Generally only one method is
required to achieve the outcome, as more than one method may be applied.
