5.9 Managing the Measurement Data
5.9.1 Project Structure
The app automatically creates an ordered project structure in which all project components
(project data, tree data, setup data, photos, measurement data) are sorted.
This structure looks as follows:
The main folder of the app is called
PicusTQdata
. A subfolder (the project folder) is created
there for each project:
•
DATE_TIME_NAME
The folder name results from the creation date (YYMMDD), the creation time (hhmmss)
and the entered project name.
In each project folder further subfolders and a file are created:
o
project.json
This file contains all data entered by the user for the project and the tree to be
examined.
o
CrownPics
All crown images taken with the app are stored here. The naming of the crown
images results from the date (YYMMDD) and the time (hhmmss) of recording
➔
Crown_DATE_TIME.png
o
TIME_NAME
A subfolder (the setup folder) is created here for each measurement setup
created within this project. The folder name results from the creation time of the
measurement setup and the entered name.
A subfolder and various files are created in each setup folder:
▪
setup.json
This file contains all data entered by the user for the project and the tree
to be examined.
▪
SetupPics
All documentation images of the test setup recorded with the app are
stored here.
The name of the setup pictures results from the date (YYMMDD) and
the time (hhmmss) of the recording
➔
Setup_DATE_TIME.png
▪
PTQ_Meas_TIME.txt
For each measurement that is carried out within this project and with this
measurement setup, a measurement data file is generated. This file
contains the recorded measured values.
The file name is derived from the start time (hhmmss) of the
measurement.
5.9.2 Data Transmission
The project structure created by the app is designed to keep all data belonging to a project
together. Especially with regard to a later evaluation within the scope of a tree survey.
It is therefore strongly recommended that you always copy the entire project folder of your
project, also when copying/moving the measurement data from your mobile device to a PC or
MAC.
