FOLDER NAME
The folder in the CF card is conformed with DCF (Design rule for Camera File system) format.
When taking a picture with this camera, the "Dcim" folder is made in the directory of the CF card and
the "100SX520" folder is made in the "Dcim" folder. The first captured image is recorded with the file
name of "SIMG001.jpg" in the "100SX520"f
ol
der. The name of the folder in which the captured
images are recorded is displayed on the playback mode menu.
The file name of the image to be recorded con-
sists of "SIMG", "4-digit number" and ".jpg". The
files are recorded in the "100SX520" folder until
the 4-digit number becomes 9999 (the file
nam
e
of "SIMG9999.jpg"). When the10000th file is
recorded, the "101MX520" folder is
created
in the "Dcim" folder and the 10000th file is record-
ed with the file name of "SIMG0001.jpg"in the
"101MX520"folder.
There will be two folders for the images in one CF card if you capture more than 10000 images. You
can select the folder in which the image to be played back is recorded by the folder name displayed in
the playback mode menu.
