Checking shock absorbers for perfect condition
Check all shock absorbers once a week for the following items:
– Excessive liquid loss
– Cracks or fractures in the housing
– Bent shock absorber rod
If a defect is detected, have an authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop replace
the shock absorber.
7.6
Checking the brake fluid level
Check the brake fluid level in the brake
fluid reservoir before every ride. The brake
fluid level must be located between the
MIN and MAX marks.
Fig. 36
NOTE
If the vehicle is operated in extremely cold weather (-23 °C or lower), a small
amount of liquid may escape from a shock absorber. If only a small amount
is leaking, it is not necessary to replace the shock absorber.
WARNING
If the brake fluid level is located below the MIN mark, do not drive the vehicle
any more, and have the brake fluid refilled at an authorised Arctic Cat spe-
cialist repair shop.
NOTE
The brake fluid reservoir is
installed above the left-hand front
wheel.
