Driving
When the engine has warmed up, the vehicle is ready for operation.
1. Let the engine idle and actuate the foot brake.
2. Move gear lever to the desired drive position.
3. Release the foot brake and press the throttle control slowly.
4. To brake and stop, release the accelerator pedal and actuate the foot brake.
6.5
Brakes
1. Release accelerator pedal and actuate foot brake.
2. If the tyres lock: release brake briefly and brake again (intermittent braking). On
surfaces such as ice, mud or loose gravel, apply intermittent braking, too.
6.6
Parking
1. When the vehicle is stationary, move gear lever into position P.
2. Turn ignition key to OFF position.
ATTENTION
Do not accelerate while the transmission is in park position. Otherwise, the
drive belt will be damaged.
WARNING
Excessive braking at high speeds leads to overheating of the brake fluid and
premature wear of the brake pads. Thus, the brakes may fail unexpectedly.
WARNING
Only use brake fluid authorised by Arctic Cat. Never mix different brands or
types of brake fluids.
ATTENTION
Do not drive with activated brake. Even with light pressure on the foot brake
pedal or the brake lever, the brake pads will rub, and the brake disc and the
brake fluid may overheat.
NOTE
Wherever possible, park the vehicle on level ground. If it is unavoidable to
park on a slope: additionally shift to a drive position and lock the wheels with
a suitable object.
