Checking shock absorbers for perfect condition
Check all shock absorbers once a week for the following items:
– Excessive liquid loss
– Cracks or fractures in the housing
– Bent shock absorber rod
If a defect is detected, have an authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop replace
the shock absorber.

Checking the braking system
7.5.1
Checking the brake fluid level
Check the brake fluid level at the inspec-
tion glass (1) before every ride.
The indicator in the inspection glass can
have the following colours:
– Dark (tank is full)
– Amber (the tank is half full)
– White (the tank is empty)

NOTE
If the vehicle is operated in extremely cold weather (-23 °C or lower), a small
amount of liquid may escape from a shock absorber. If only a small amount
is leaking, it is not necessary to replace the shock absorber.
WARNING
If the indicator is amber-coloured or white, have the brake fluid refilled at an
authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop.
