SAFETY
ALWAYS:
l
ALWAYS wear your seat belts. The FUV is not
equipped with airbags. See page
for details on
using the seat belt system.
l
ALWAYS reduce speed on wet or slippery surfaces.
l
ALWAYS keep both hands on the handlebars when
driving.
l
ALWAYS keep hands, arms and feet inside the
vehicle.
l
ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings and
driving conditions. Be especially cautious at
intersections, where accidents often occur.
l
ALWAYS be prepared for changing weather
conditions and dress accordingly.
l
ALWAYS make sure a passenger reads and
understands all safety labels.
General Safety Warnings
l
Exercise care when parking along curbs and reduce
speed if possible when approaching unavoidable
potholes and / or road debris.
l
Since the FUV has a single, centered rear wheel,
“straddling” obstacles with the front tires increases
the likelihood that you will encounter the obstacles
with the rear tire.
l
If you experience a wheel impact, such as hitting a
curb, a large pothole or road debris, have your tires
and rims inspected immediately.
l
Make sure all cargo and other items in the rider
compartment are properly secured before
operating.
l
Avoid wearing long scarves and clothing that may
trail outside the rider compartment.
