Remove the magnet cover as illustrated in Picture 1 by using a flat-tipped screwdriver.
•
Pull and remove the magnet shown in Picture 2.
•
The magnet located in the fridge and freezer door’s upper covers interacts with the
reed switch board on the upper hinge covers.

Service numbers used:
1679 hinge cover group right
110 hinge cover group left
789 reed switch board

Remove the PT 4.2x25 screws of the hinge cover by using a Phillips screwdriver.
•
Release the hinge cover tab as in the diagram.
•
Remove the reed switch board socket fitting by opening the cover as shown in Picture
3.
•
Remove 2 board screws of the reed switch board by using a Phillips screwdriver.
