Instructions on how to proceed:
i
Note on malfunctions
For each individual application, a parameter set (I/Os with values) and, if required, modules (to
extend the functionality) are created in VE. These are specially adapted to a VE version.
If the VE version is changed, the modules are not executed correctly and the I/Os are not called
or stored correctly. These problems usually occur when VE is started. In very rare cases,
malfunctions may occur during operation.
•
Use the VE version for which the parameter set and the modules were created.
1.
Follow the instructions in the VEConfig operating manual, chapter Commissioning and
parameterization of a device, Commissioning, Commissioning for a series application.
CAUTION!
Danger from noise
The VECTOPOWER generates noise during operation.
•
If necessary, wear hearing protection when working on or near the VECTOPOWER.
Results:
•
The VECTOPOWER is ready for operation.
•
ARADEX AG recommends that you record and manage the versions of the firmware, software
(VEConfig and higher-level control), parameter set, and modules used.

Note on material damage
After storage or a voltage-free period of more than 6 months, the electrolytic capacitors may fail.
The high leakage current of defective electrolytic capacitors can damage the VECTOPOWER.
The VECTOPOWER
VP5000-DC/DC60, DC100-HL, and DC-200-HL have built-in electrolytic
capacitors.
•
Form the above VECTOPOWER types according to the following instructions.
