6.4.1
Test system for testing
In the case of a newly designed application, it is advisable to set up a test system for testing
purposes. If the test system runs satisfactorily, the measures and parameters can be adopted for
the series.
In a test system, current ripples and voltage ripples among other things can be determined. These
depend on many factors throughout the system. If required, external capacitors can be used, for
example. The impact of the measures will then be assessed.
When a test system is tested, the notes on system integration must be observed. See chapter 4.3
Notes on planning, Notes on system integration.
6.4.2
Tests before initial commissioning
The initial commissioning is carried out with a newly designed system. It is used to determine the
specific parameters for the VECTOPOWER.
The following checklist indicates tests which are generally carried out before initial commissioning.
Further testing may be required for your specific application. In particular, the applicable rules and
legal provisions for the respective country and the respective application of your system may
require further testing.
Supplement the following checklist with all further checks that are necessary for your system.
Before commissioning, carry out the following checks:

Wire connections [DC+/-], [/-], and, if required
[BR+/-]:
Are the power data, current and voltage limits adhered to?
3.3.1, 3.3.2, 3.3.3, 3.9, 3.10,
3.11
Are the power connections correctly established: Are [DC+/-],
[/-], and, if necessary, [BR+/-] reversed?
Is the polarity of the power connections correct?
For example, is [DC+] connected to [DC+]?
Check the cable lugs:
Is the screw of each cable lug secured with a pair of Nord-Lock
wedge lock washers?
Are the screws tightened with the correct torque?
3.6, 3.13.1, 3.13.3, 6.3.4,
6.3.8, 6.3.9
Check the EMC cable glands:
