REPLACING THE FRONT AND 
REAR DIRECTION INDICATOR 
BULBS

Read page 131 (BULBS) carefully.

u

Place the vehicle on the stand, see page
77 (PLACING THE VEHICLE ON THE
STAND).

u

Unscrew and remove the screw (1).

CAUTION

The protective shield is retained by a
locating peg. Remove carefully or the
locating peg might break off.

u

Remove the lens (2).

CAUTION

On refitting, ensure that the lens fits
properly into its slot. Tighten the screw
(1) gradually. Do not overtighten or the
shield will damage.

u

Push down the bulb (3) gently and twist
counterclockwise.

u

Extract the bulb (3) from its seat.

CAUTION

When fitting the bulb, ensure that the
two locating pegs fit properly into the
slots in the bulb holder.

u

Install a new bulb of equal rating.

CAUTION

If the reflector (4) comes off its seat,
refit it correctly.
