Always ensure that the fuel filler cap is
correctly closed.

Remove the rider saddle, see page 111
(REMOVING THE RIDER SADDLE).

Remove the side panels, see page 114
(REMOVING THE LOWER FAIRINGS).

Unscrew and remove the two retaining
screws (4) at the front end of the fuel
tank (5).

Raise the fuel tank (5) at the front using
a suitable support to hold it up.

REMOVING THE FRONT FAIRING

Remove the rearview mirrors, see page
115 (REMOVING THE REARVIEW
MIRRORS)

Place the vehicle on the stand, see page
77 (PLACING THE VEHICLE ON THE
STAND).

Turn the ignition switch to "



Remove the rearview mirrors, see page
115 (REMOVING THE FAIRING UPPER
FRONT COVERS).

Release the four plastic rivets (1) using a
flat-blade screwdriver.

Release and remove the screw (2) in the
centre.

CAUTION

Do not overtighten the screw (2) on
refitting, as it sits on plastic.
