Creating a
Shortcut to a Run
Method
You can add buttons to the Main Menu screen that allow you to go directly to the
Edit Run Method screen for a particular run method. When login is required, each
user can configure his or her own shortcut buttons; otherwise the shortcut buttons are
displayed for all instrument users.
Note:
You can also create shortcuts to instrument functions (see
Menu Shortcuts to Functions” on page 2-15
1. In the Browse Run Methods screen, touch one or more methods, then touch
(Create Method Shortcut).
2. In the message box that appears, touch
OK
.
The selected run methods appear as buttons in the Main Menu screen. The name
of the method is followed by the name, in parentheses, of the folder where the
method is stored.
Note:
Run method names longer than twelve characters will appear truncated
on the shortcut button.

Backing Up Run
Methods and
Other Settings
You can back up the instrument's run methods and other settings to a USB drive. All
run methods, folders, user information, and other instrument settings are saved.
Note:
If your instrument requires login, you must have Administrator level
permissions to back up run methods and instrument settings.
1. Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the front of the instrument.
2. Log in as a user with Administrator access.
3. In the Main Menu screen, touch
Settings Menu
, then
Admin Menu
