Displayed if card needs to be removed.
The terminal needs to process the Transaction as a
Chip Transaction. Please insert the Chip Card into
the Chip Card Reader at the bottom of the terminal.

chip supported by the terminal. If magnetic stripe
fallback is supported, the terminal will prompt to
swipe the card through the Magnetic Stripe
Card Reader.
Remove the card from the Chip Card Reader and
use the Magnetic Stripe Card Reader instead.
<NAME> represents the card scheme. VISA
CREDIT, MASTERCARD or AMEX are the different
applications that a Transaction may use.
The cardholder presses ENTER to confirm
application selection.
How to Clear Tip Transactions
You
MUST
process and clear all stored Tip Transactions on the same day prior to
Settlement. Stored Transactions that have not been cleared are deleted from the
terminal during Settlement.
You may choose to:
• Enter all your Tip Transactions at once and process them automatically at the end of
the day
• Trickle feed them through for immediate processing on the back of other purchase
Transactions
• Force process them.
ANZ strongly recommends that you force process your Tips as often as possible.
Tip Transactions can only be forced through when the terminal is online and should be
initiated before:
• The terminal reaches its limit of approximately 500 stored Tipping Transactions
• The final online Transaction for that day (Tips will not automatically trickle through)
or
• The terminal is swapped in the event of a fault.
