2.1 Introduction

Operation manual
2.1.1
This manual is a guide for personnel to ensure proper operation, maintenance,
transportation and storage of the Device.
2.1.2
In addition to the requirements in these operation manual, the Device must be
operated in accordance with the general requirements set out in the operating instructions
and regulations for power lines.
2.2
Safety precautions
2.2.1
When installing the Device and performing inspection
operations, it is necessary to observe the safety requirements applicable to
the protection relay and automation devices.
2.2.2
The Device may only be used by persons, who have studied
these instructions and have knowledge on safety and operating of
electrical installations of power plants and substations.
2.3
General instructions
2.3.1
After unpacking, visually check the delivery for completeness and mechanical
damage, as well as the terminal blocks integrity.
2.4
Installation procedure
2.4.1
Before using the Device, it is necessary to mount a standby lithium battery
into the case of the Device.
2.4.2
Install the Device on the control panel in the switchgear and control gear cell.
2.4.3
Carefully study the connection diagram (Appendix 2).
2.4.4
Connect current sensor contacts to terminals X1 (IA, IB, IC). The current
sensors are installed in the way that the arrow on the sensor always indicates from
buses to line.
2.4.5
Connect the contacts of voltage transformers or contacts of support insulators
with capacitive divider to terminals X2 (UA, UB, UC, Common)
