3. Approvals

3.1 NFPA

AlphaTec

®

 FLASH is certified to NFPA 1991:2016, “Standard on vapor-protective 

 

ensembles for hazardous materials emergencies”, including the Optional Chemical Flash 
Fire protection requirements and the Optional Liquefied Gas protective requirements.

AlphaTec

®

 FLASH is certified by SEI (Safety 

 

Equipment Institute, USA). 

Upon certification, an SCBA type Scott AV3000 and an MSA Ultra Elite mask were used, but 
other SCBAs may also be used with the suit.
