Power Measurement
Introduction
The Site Master S331D and S332D with Option 29 can make power measurements based
on the spectrum analyzer measurements, and can display the measured power in dBm or
Watts.

Required Equipment
The following equipment is required to make a power measurement with the Site Master.

Selecting Power Meter Mode
Step 1.
Press the
ON/OFF
key on the Site Master.
Step 2.
Press the
MODE
key.
Step 3.
Use the Up/Down arrow key to select the
Power Meter
mode and press
ENTER
.
Setting the Measurement Frequency Range
The measurement frequency range parameters can be set manually or automatically.
Manually Setting Frequency Range Parameters
Using this procedure, the instrument can be tuned to measure over any frequency span that
is within the capability of the instrument.
Step 1.
In the
FREQ/DIST
menu, press the
Center
soft key and enter the desired fre-
quency between 4.5 and 2998.5 MHz. If the existing span value would cause the
instrument to be tuned outside of its available frequency range, the span is auto-
matically changed to the maximum value for the given center frequency.
Step 2.
Press the
Span
soft key and enter the desired frequency span for the measure-
ment between 3 and 2997 MHz. If the existing center frequency value would
cause the instrument to be tuned outside of its available frequency range, the
center frequency is automatically changed so that the entered span range can be
used. Pressing the
Span
soft key also opens activates a menu of span related
choices:
Edit
Allows editing of the span to enter a specific frequency.
Full
Sets the power meter to its maximum frequency span of
2997 MHz and the center frequency to 1501.5 MHz.
Min
Sets the power meter span to the minimum value of 3 MHz.
