3.6 Ping Test
The Ping test is a quick and easy way to test, troubleshoot and verify a
connection and latency.
3.6.1 Ping Test Setup
Up to eight Ping tests can be added to the test schedule in Test
Automator. Each test has its own set of parameters. To setup a Ping test,
press the
icon at the Test Automator screen. See section 3.2.4 for
more information on Test Automator.
The Ping setup screen consists of two panes:

Destination
• Test Config.

MAC
The Destination MAC can be specified either manually or resolved by
ARP lookup. Put a checkmark in the Use ARP checkbox to enable ARP
lookup.
IP
The Dest. IP Address can either be specified manually or resolved by
DNS lookup. Put a checkmark in the Use DNS checkbox to enable DNS
lookup and input the host name.
