Chapter 1 — General Information

Introduction

This chapter provides a description of the BTS Master models MT8221B and MT8222B.
It also reviews preventive maintenance, calibration requirements, ESD cautions, and
additional documents. general and performance specifications, instrument options, standard
accessories, and optional accessories are in the BTS Master MT8221B/22B Technical Data
Sheet (PN: 11410-00442). Refer to

Appendix A, “Measurement Guides”

, for additional

information. Throughout this manual, this instrument may be referred to as the BTS Master,
or MT8221B/22B.
