SELF TEST
The self test performs a series of tests that verify that various internal
VNA circuits are functional and operating properly.
To start the self test:
Step 1. Press the Option Menu key (Enhancement key group) to dis-
play the OPTIONS menu.
Step 2. Select DIAGNOSTICS from menu; then select START
SELF TEST (below).
Step 3. Wait for test sequence to complete. (Once invoked, this test
requires no user interaction or external equipment.)
Upon completion, the net pass/fail result of the self test is shown on
the display. If the VNA is in remote-only operation, the results are re-
ported via the GPIB output buffer. If the self test fails, detailed error
messages will be written into the service log.
If self test fails:

Check the service log to view failure messages.

Proceed to Chapter 7, Troubleshooting.
