Chapter 7 — 2300-584-R Software with the
Lightning ME7808A/B/C
7-1 Introduction
This chapter describes the use of the Anritsu 2300-584-R Performance Verification Software (PVS) for the
Lightning ME7808A/B/C Broadband/Millimeter-Wave VNA Measurement Systems. The ME7808A/B/C is
based on the Lightning 37xxxA/B/C Series Vector Network Analyzers.
7-2 Required Equipment
The required general equipment is described in Section 1-3 “Required Equipment” .
Required Lightning MS7808A/B/C Instruments and Components
The ME7808A/B/C Broadband Measurement System is composed of any of the following instruments:
• One of the following Lightning VNAs:
• 37297C with Option 12 or SM5621 (with software version 4.20)
• 37397C with Option 12 or SM5621 (with software version 4.20)
• 37297D
• 37397D
• 3738A Test Set
• 3700C3 Floor Console
• A pair of the following:
• 3742A-EW (2 each required)
• SM5645 (2 each required)
• Any of the following W1 couplers:
• 64057 with 64058
• 57215 with 57216
• SC6195 (one pair)
• Any of the following Signal Generators (2), one as LO and one as RF source:
• MG369XB/C
• MG3702xA
• 68037C with Option 15 as LO source and 68037C (without options) as RF source
• Other 68000 or 69000 models that are known ti operate in this system
Note
Anritsu does not support tests or verification processes for wafer probe equipment. Contact the
vendor of the wafer probe equipment if such support is desired.
