Recycled Plastic 6' Wide Plank Bench
BENCH COMPONENTS:
ASSEMBLY HARDWARE:
(4) 2" X 6" Inner Planks
(2) 2" X 6" Edge Planks
(3) Bench Supports
ASSEMBLY:
Inspect the shipping container contents for damage and to
determine that all components and hardware are present.
1.
2.
Lay all parts on a soft work surface or on the shipping
packaging to prevent damage to finish.
3.
Locate one of the 2” x 6” inner planks and position the plank over the
innermost sets of predrilled holes in the bench supports. Make sure the
clearance holes in the plank align with the pilot holes in the bench supports.
Using the 18 volt drill and the T30 Torx bit, drive one of the 1/4" X 3" washer
head screws through the clearance hole at one end of the plank and into the
corresponding pilot hole in the bench support until tight.
Align the remaining clearance holes with the corresponding pilot holes in
the supports. Drive one of the screws into the next middle support and then
drive a screw into the last support.
Install screws into the other three clearance holes in the plank in the same
manner.
4.
Locate one of the edge planks and align the clearance holes in the plank
with the uppermost pairs of pilot holes in the bench supports. Be sure to
align the plank so that the pilot holes are closer to the lower edge of the
plank. Use the 18 volt drill and the Torx T30 bit to drive six screws through
the clearance holes into the pilot holes.
5.
Locate the other edge plank and align the clearance holes in the plank with
the outermost pair of pilot holes in the bench support and install six screws.
Be sure to align the plank so that the pilot holes are closer to the inner edge
of the plank.
